Vimoxy-B %75.5

Vimoxy-B %75.5 contains oxytetracycline of tetracycline group.

Composition:

Each gram contains 755 mg Oxytetracycline HCl.

Indications

It is used for the treatment of the following diseases in fresh and sea fish species grown for culture fishing.

Frunculosis caused by Aeromonas salmonicida subsp. salmonicida, Bacterial Hemorrhagic Septicemia caused by A. sorbria, Bacterial Septicemia caused by Pseudomonas sp., Yersiniosis (Red mouth disease ERM) caused by Yersina ruckeri, Pasteurellosis (Pseudotuberculosis) caused by Photobacterium damsela subsp. pisicida, Vibriosis caused by Vibrio types such as Vibrio anguillarum, Vibrio vulnificus, Vibrio alginolyticus, cold water vibriosis caused by Vibrio salmonicida, Cold water disease caused by Flavobacterium (rainbow trout RTFS fly syndrome), bacterial Gill disease and bacterial fin disease caused by Flexibacter sp., Cytophaga sp. Tenacibaculum maritium, Pseudo Kidney Disease caused by Lactobacillus piscicola.

Posology:

Unless recommended otherwise by the Veterinary surgeon, it is administered orally by mixing into feed.

Pharmacological dose:

75 mg/kg l.w/day oxytetracycline.

Practical dose:

In fish, it is administered as 1 g. Vimoxy-B 75.5%/10 kg body weight.

The duration of the treatment is at least 10 days. The drug is administered by mixing with the feed. In order to mix with the feed, fish oil, soybean oil or other available mineral oils are used as carriers. It is available to use 2-3 liters of carrier oil at 40°C for each 100 kg feed. After Vimoxy-B 75.5% is mixed well with carrier oil, it is mixed with feed via spraying onto feed. The medicated feed is mixed again and given to fish as soon as possible. The medicated feed should be prepared fresh daily. Fish should be left as starved for 12-24 hours before initiating the treatment.

Withdrawal Time:

During the treatment and after the treatment, fish should not be harvested for human consumption until the total daily water temperatures reach 500°C. (The withdrawal time for fish meat is 500˚C/day)

Packaging Presentation:

Presented in 0.1, 0.5, 1 and 5 kg plastic containers without boxes and in 20 kg double coated Kraft bags.
